Originally from Dothan, Alabama, Dr. Karen Leigh Samples received both her undergraduate and her medical degree with honors from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She then completed her Internship and Residency at University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. While in Residency there, she served as Academic Chief Resident of their Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Samples is currently on staff at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children and The Surgery Center of Huntsville. She and her husband Brandon have two children.
